Develop, improve, and communicate detailed supply chain schedule processes to support the delivery of customer requirements and maximize the efficiency of the production operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Planning/Scheduling experience required.
  • Work with Sales, Product Management, Customer Service and the Sr. Planner/Scheduler to develop a Master Schedule that allows for the delivery of products to customers on time.
  • Provide efficient schedules and required information for the product lines and/or production work centers.
  • Work with sales and inventory control to maintain optimum inventory levels of finished goods.
  • Update and distribute various reports that indicate operating levels and potential production issues based on detailed and general capacity analyses.
  • Assist in developing accurate work instructions that optimize scheduling efficiency.
  • Communicate closely with purchasing on schedule changes to ensure proper supply chain alignment.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Planner/Scheduler regarding scheduling and capacity matters.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customer service and production leadership.
  • Coordinate with engineering personnel the creation and deletion of various part numbers as required to ensure continuity of supply and minimize E&O inventory.
  • Coordinate with engineering the correct entry of routings as required.
  • Active participation and leading the monthly SIOP process.
  • Work closely with shipping and production to maximize on-time shipments to customers.
  • Support proper scheduling of finished goods inventory for remote locations to support on time shipments.
  • Support, as required, the physical inventory process.
  • Complete other assignments as directed.


Skills and Experience:
  • College degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in material planning, inventory management, or related field.
  • Excellent math and analytic skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective use of Microsoft suite of programs.
  • APICS certification desired. Previous Master Scheduling experience.
  • Ability to maintain an organized process for completing work on time.
  • Accuracy in work assignments and a strong work ethic as a part of a team.
